A Tall Dawn by Suilenroc A Tall Dawn by Suilenroc
We got a bit lost with this one to be honest.

First idea - a fresh resurrected curious zombie - then a dark gigantic figure stalking the night. Anyhoo - what We have ended up with - a judging look and "not quite sure what next" pose.

Any other interpretations or stories most welcome!

This is interesting because the title makes you dream of the scene.

Initially I could think it just a massive figure. Distorted through a tragedy or vile by nature. But in the tittle, "A tall dawn" was realized the epic that is its poetry. I think if a giant ushering in great change, change that will radicalize the reality in which it lives. Made of substances unthinkable but imaginable. living only in the wildest dreams of the directer of the film. Furthest what is from reality will sling-shot the now stagnant existence into its yin, for it is yang. or vice versa. Mind boggling this tall dawn is. Personified with terror it brings a future that is hard to imagine, and accordingly hard, but equally exciting.

Continue to share.

The manifestation you have formulated here has a great deal of depth and mood...it's meaning is also quite complex and deep..I adore this.

Such a very creepy atmosphere is produced here, a hellish looking character, as though it has been burnt very badly for many years. Brilliant work :D

Before I saw your comment I immediately thought about some mythic creature of the woods, rising from the earth alone at the birth of dawn; (Got a little poetic there):p Perhaps some gigantic tree-like creature, as indeed I might have read The Lord of the Rings too many times. :D
I wouldn't have believed you were colorblind because you make the sweetest color palettes. Wonderful textures. Wonderful image.

Thanks MM - can't remember the Tree People's name from LOTR but there is certainly a resemblance. :)

We are "only" classic red/green colourblind - unable to distinquish between those colours - We go OK if We steer clear of those!

Thanks for the fav, hunny! :blowkiss:

My pleasure, sweets.

There's traces of red and green there too. ;) And how do you know if you're not using them? :giggle:

btw the Tree Sheperds are called Ents.

Good question - We don't! ;P

Using Painter 9, We select from the colour wheel thingy and see what it looks like on the piece - if it looks OK We use it - hence the slightly eccentric "pallette" in some of Our works. It's probably a good thing that most of Our stuff tends towards darkness! :D

to me it looks like a reanimated corpse coming up from the murky depths of a swamp or something.
the background looks like hes underwater and the light area is the light coming from above the surface.
the texture of the corpses skin looks rotted and grown over with swamp type stuff
very cool
